The Kourtney Kardashian diet is not a secret. The reality star has made it clear that she loves to eat healthily, but one of Kardashian Kourtney Kardashian’s favorite dishes is sushi. She also drinks kimchi juice every day for breakfast and eats lots of fish, vegetables, fruit, and whole grains which are all very nutritious foods.
What is Kourtney Kardashian’s diet like?
Gluten-free and organic
Kourtney Kardashian is often ridiculed by her sisters for her mostly gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, organic diet. She’s very anti-artificial produce and encourages her three children Mason, Penelope, and Reign to eat similarly (bar the odd treat). While going gluten-free when you don’t have coeliac disease has become a trend these days, Kourtney claims it works for her. So who are we to criticize?
On the subject of being gluten-free, Kourt acknowledges that it’s more difficult than going lactose-free, yet she’s discovered bakeries that produce alternative chocolate cookies and cakes, so she doesn’t feel completely deprived.
She also revealed that in the pre-Poosh days, when she had her own app, she usually ate avocado pudding or banana spinach shake for breakfast, and lunch and dinner would frequently be crudités with hummus and a gluten-free rice tortilla with turkey meat.
On the other side, what about food? It’s claimed she sticks to fruit and vegetables or goes on a search for all-natural sweets at Disneyland or a movie theater, but she’ll have popcorn or churros in Disneyland or the cinema. “Yes, self-care may be indulging now and then,” Kourt added in a Poosh post. “Whether you eat what you want or not, we all deserve time off. There should be no guilt and no limitations when it comes to pleasures.”
Keto
Kourtney Kardashian has even dabbled with a ketogenic diet in the past (which some belief is beneficial for those with PCOS, with weight loss, and for reducing inflammation). For the reality star, however, she credits a physician with suggesting Keto to her so that she could have a “mental detox” and feel her best before summer.
Her story is as follows: “My doctor tested my muscles and discovered that I had high amounts of mercury and lead in my system… My body has never appeared to be healthier than it does while I’m on the Keto diet, which I did for two months [and] it’s the most effective strategy for conditioning my body to curb sugar cravings, burn fat, and start weight loss in my experience.
While on Keto, Kourt says she eats little to no carbs, no grains, beans, or legumes, and focuses on high fat and protein-heavy foods. A typical day for her would involve an avocado smoothie for breakfast (complete with MCT oil, bone broth powder, and blue-green algae), lunch would be a protein-based salad (e.g. turkey with mixed greens, cheese, and egg whites) and dinner would be chicken or salmon, plus cauliflower or broccoli rice. Snacks would be limited to green tea or nuts.
However, not everyone adheres to the Keto diet. “It isn’t something we believe is conducive to good health or fat loss or muscle gain,” PT Max Bridger of Cosmopolitan said when talking to Cosmopolitan previously. It’s unsustainable; it’s not compatible with daily life, especially when you consider things like family, friendship, and professional networks, which make it difficult.
“Generally speaking, eating this way causes the body to become more efficient at burning stored body fat and you lose weight quickly,” Dr. Bridger explained. “However, ketosis is difficult for many individuals — even on a true ketogenic diet — due to their genetics.”
She starts the day with a smoothie
v
For her first meal of the day, Kourtney consumes an avocado smoothie made with one whole avocado, one cup of organic plant-based milk, one scoop vanilla protein powder, and ¼ teaspoon MCT oil.
When Kourtney goes keto, she says she’ll swap the manuka honey for a couple of droplets of Stevia. I’ll still mix in my MCT oil, bone broth powder, and blue-green algae, she adds.
Kourtney Kardashian’s diet is very healthy, and it is easy to follow. You can find many recipes online that are similar to the ones she consumes.

She has salad for lunch
To fill up midday, Kourtney says she typically enjoys a salad. “My go-to for lunch is usually a protein-based chef salad with turkey, a base of mixed greens, and egg whites,” says the star. “I also like adding diced avocado, tomatoes, roasted peppers, and olives.”
She eats a “really clean and simple” dinner
For her final meal of the day, Kourtney says she’ll “usually eat chicken or salmon” atop some broccoli rice or cauliflower rice.
“Even though they’re made entirely from shredded veggies, they kind of trick my brain and make me feel like I’m eating some carbs,” she explains. “It’s a really clean and simple dinner.”
She doesn’t snack
Kourtney claims that when she’s on a keto diet, she rarely eats, instead of relying on bone broth or green tea for a pick-me-up. “I don’t really snack,” she says. “If I’m hungry, I’ll just have more bone broth or drink green tea.”
She refuses to give into the idea of eating anything between meals, instead opting for “walnuts or pecans.”
She practices intermittent fasting
Kourtney also utilizes intermittent fasting to keep her carbs at bay, and she does so when she’s adhering to a keto diet.
“For me, this translated to not eating for 14 to 16 hours after dinner. I wouldn’t consume anything past 7 p.m. at night and then refrained from eating the next day until around 10:30 a.m. or 11 a.m.,” the celebrity adds when doing keto.
What is Kourtney Kardashian’s workout regime?
She hits the gym… hard
Kourt has previously stated that she would work out every day if she could, and despite her busy schedule, she manages to do so around six times each week (but keep in mind that rest days are essential for recovery and avoiding harm – so if you try the same workouts, you might overdo it!).
Kourtney exercises at the gym, and she particularly likes HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) workouts led by PTs Don Brooks (AKA Don-A-Matrix) or Amanda Lee, both of whom told ELLE that Kourtney’s workouts are “mostly geared towards toning, lifting, tightening and fat-burning,” and that “her endurance is insane.”
Lee’s typical HIIT routine is likely to include a number of jumping squats, burpees, resistance-band exercises, mountain climbers into push-ups, and we’ll bet a lot of sweat.
Kourt’s workouts are divided into four parts (like an NFL game), with each quarter focused on a different region of the body and covering two distinct exercises. To complete a moving cycle, you must finish each exercise 20 times, with each ‘cycle’ being repeated three times to officially master the quarter. Similarly, sisters, Kim and Khloe are fans of the same workout plan.
Pilates
Kourtney Kardashian is a well-known Pilates expert who’s been practicing the art since she was eight years old. She and her Poosh co-founder, Sarah Howard, have collaborated on quite a few reformer Pilates sessions – including Kourtney’s regular posting about her daily reformer Pilates exercises, which frequently include two sessions a day.
Reformer Pilates is a fantastic way to strengthen the entire body. It may appear (and can be) tough, yet it’s also an excellent way to improve core strength, develop lean muscle mass and burn fat.
The great outdoors
Kourtney’s trainer explains that she doesn’t need a lot of rest. According to him, Kourtney exercises regularly by going to the gym (weekly), getting in those regular training sessions (daily) and maintaining an active lifestyle by going for long walks in the Californian hills, swimming and running around her enormous garden after her three children.
She doesn’t have to lift weights. Kourtney Kardashian is not a fan of lifting weights, nor does she feel that it’s necessary to do so.
